We don’t have such intensive autumn colours in our region. The bright red tones, which can be admired on the American east coast, are completely missing here. We are dominated by beech forests, so there are more yellow and brown tones. My maple bushes in the garden did not get an autumn colour this year. Because of the dryness in summer, they had already thrown off their leaves before the beginning of fall.

I painted the picture with wax pastels and pastel chalk. I started with the wax colours and set accents with the chalks. At the end the painting has to be treated with an impregnating spray.

Since 2014 I have been writing and illustrating books for children, mainly for preschool age. In the meantime I have published three animal stories. More picture books are in progress. If you are interested in readings (Kindergarten), my books or any illustration work, please feel free to contact me. I live with my family and a funny poodle in the beautiful Weserbergland, Germany.
