ROSES

I’m still looking for smooth paper, which is usable for ink and watercolors.

Any suggestions from you are very welcome.

  1. I like Arches cold press and hot press watercolor paper (these are treated and you don’t need to block them, they have a coating… Both at 140 lb. Best form is to buy blocks if you can find them. Also Canson 140 lb Montval watercolor paper (spiral binding) is really thick and lovely. Also recommend Winsor and Newton cold press 140 lb. pad (comes in spiral binding). Nothing will ever bleed through these or warp because of a lot of wetness. Anything below 140 lb is too thin for lots of water and you can add many layers of painting with no problem.
